In Time is Money, you can spend time (in $econds) to try to earn more time! Achieve immortality by accumulating 100,000,000,000 $econds, or become penniless if you lose it all!

If time = money, will you be timeless (immortal) or timeless (moneyless)?

How to Play:

  • Purchase tokens using the buttons above the hourglass! You can buy a small amount (that changes dynamically), spend half, or go all-in!
  • Purchase upgrades using the buttons on the left by each portrait - costs will increase with each purchase.
  • Time is constantly ticking down - don't let it fall to 0!
  • Reach 100,000,000,000 $econds to win!
  • Recommended to full screen using the blue fullscreen button on the bottom right of the game window.

Most Creative Use of Anniversary Assets explanation:

  • Starter upgrade is based on Unity 1.2 - Starter Assets and plays on the theme of this being Unity's "foundation". In Time is Money, you can increase the base amount of $econds earned per token, where the base reflects the foundation.
  • Penelope upgrade is based on Unity 3.3 - Penelope and adds glowing blue orbs to collect based on the mobile demo where Penelope collects blue orbs that fall from the sky.
  • Stealth upgrade is based on Unity 4.2 - Stealth where the token phases through the pegs as stealth can be associated with invisibility.
  • Million upgrade is based on Unity 4.2 - Million Users Party Pack where each upgrade grants an extra token, inspired by the concept of duplication and reaching more users.

Other upgrades that didn't make it in due to time constraints:

  • Terrain upgrade, based on Unity 3.1 - Terrain Assets, where purchasing this upgrade would increase the multipliers (5X -> 5.1X), symbolizing growth and helping to reach the end game.
  • Mechanim upgrade, based on Unity 4.0 - Mechanim Samples, where purchasing this upgrade would pick a random target reward (5X, 2X, 1.5X, etc). If you hit the target and purchase the next upgrade, it would grant a new target, reflecting the Mechanim state machine, and granting greater bonuses.
  • 2D Platformer upgrade, based on Unity 4.3 - 2D Platformer, where purchasing this upgrade would grant the next token a special ability to consume/destroy other tokens it collides with. It would absorb their $econds with a multiplier and was inspired by the destructive powers of the bean with a bazooka.
